These Cross 20 and Cross 25 backpacks are a cut above the standard fare from CamelBak, which is indeed saying something. Both use substantial fabrics and have numerous pockets for assorted “stuff”. Included are padded pockets for sunglasses and audio equipment- with necessary “ports” for earphones. Each has a 100 oz. Omega bladder. Each has a rain cover hidden in a pocket at their base and they have specific loops for attaching trekking poles. Their harnesses are wicking and comfortable. Their hip belts are detachable! At around 1140 and 1350 cubic inches capacity, they are very useful for walking around town or day hikes.

These packs are not intended for sale in the US. The CamelBak website indicates they are “international only”. CamelBak reps provided me with UK locations where I could purchase the packs for over $100 US. I have recently purchased mine from the Bike Nashbar website for $29 a pop. Smokin’ deal indeed! I’ve had CamelBak Trailblazer, Lobo, Ares, and Rim Runner models, as well as Jandd products. The Cross 25 is the one going with me to Europe this summer.
