User Review: Camp Trails Paragon III

Rating: rated 4.5 of 5 stars
Design: Internal frame
Height of Owner: 5' 10"
Price Paid: $75

This was my first pack in 33 years. Spent my Scout years with a Camp Trails external medium pack. Bought this one on sale at the Scout store for half off. Great pack!

First trip in 2006 was up the Yuba River in 95 degree heat and the ventilated back was comfortable. Not for small adults--The pack is heavy for a weekend trip--7.5 pounds empty, but would be great for extended trips at around 7,000 colume.

Mesh side pockets don't hold water bottles well if pack full. Not hydration pack ready. I Like the top pouch that detaches and becomes a belt pack including belt. Great for those side trips on layover days.
