I bought this pack for an extended trip with the Boy Scouts of America. It was very cheap, and I was new to backpacking, so it was perfect. It was great to look at and pack, but not on the trail. With only 150 miles (three trips) on it, it had major problems. The divider in the main compartment began to unstich, and its zipper completely came off. Various stiching elsewhere looked like it was breaking, so I returned the pack.

If the pack had held up physically, I still would have tried to rid myself of it. The hood is pathetically constructed, the shoulder straps are flimsy, and the waistbelt is unsupportive.

I would never recommend this pack to anyone. If you need a pack for a similar price, I would suggest the Catskill (the model up). It is constructed much better, and is similarly priced.
