Wow what a flip flop. I picked up these guys 2 years ago and although they are finally wearing down pretty badly, I've put them through hell and high water for 8 months of each year both years. These guys are machine washable, have an arch like no other flip flop you'll ever find (APMA recommended actually).
The old model (the one's I have) has a Vibram sole, which is nice seeing as how that company specializes in high endurance hikers, but the newer models don't sport one. Still, I fully plan on buying another pair of these next spring.
My one complaint is the smell these babies generate if you don't wash them awhile. All the junk on your feet catches in the sole and bacteria/fungus or something love it and stink. Just keep them clean.

Had these flip flops on while biking in Costa Rican jungle. I got a flat tire 9 km down a wilderness road from camp and had to haul the 40+ lb beach cruiser back. I ended up sweaty, sore, insect bitten but my feet felt great. Never intended to work the sandals like that but they held up like a good pair of hiking boots.

I am sold on Chacos of any type. These are by far the most comfortable (supportive) flip-flops I've had. I have a high arch and the support is outstanding.
