User Review: Columbia Mt. Logan Tent
Design: 2 man backpacking tent
Ease of Setup: Simple
Weight: 7-ish lbs
Price Paid: $80
I'm an infrequent camper, and when I do it is usually with the family. However, I went on a trip and needed a small tent to spend a couple of nights in myself. As we were driving to the place we were camping, the weather radio started predicting thunder storms.. great!
However, I got there in time to get the tent set up before the rain settled in. Setup was very easy to do myself, whereas all of my friends had larger tents and needed two people to get them set up. When the rain rolled in, I was pleasantly surprised that everything stayed totally dry. Better yet was the next morning when all of my friends were whining about wet boots, clothing, etc. My boots were out under the rain flap and were still dry. Nothing blew down in the strong winds, and there was plenty of room for a large guy such as myself. (6'2", 260 Lbs)
The second night got down into the high 30's, but the tent did a great job of cutting the wind and my bag kept my mostly warm.
I don't do a lot of hard core hiking, but for the money this tent is really hard to beat!
