Unlike a traditional thong, the Nevis has a comfy toe loop made of stretch material for added comfort in a sport thong sandal. Columbia included a soft fabric lining and a cushy footbed to the Nevis and then coated it with a Serdia anti-odor anti-bacterial treatment to keep these sandals from getting too nasty. "The sandal has been perfect for me. I do not like sandals that come between my big toe. The sales associate in Portland, OR, told me I should try the Nevis and I am sold. They are comfortable and attractive with jeans or shorts. After a long run they are heaven. I need to buy more for my European travels this summer."
