I bought this on sale at REI. Great purchase. Even though I wore them in the winter it worked out great. They pack small and light, and dry in a matter of a couple of hours. Very handy in the cold wet conditions that we experienced while traveling across eastern Europe. We traveled by train for the most part to get to each new city so no real outback experience. However for travel pants, they are excellent!
