User Reviews

My favorite sunscreen for bright sun or high altitude.

Rating: rated 4.5 of 5 stars
Source: bought it new
Price Paid: about $6

Summary

My favorite sunscreen for bright sun or high altitude.

Pros

  • Effective
  • Zinc oxide

Cons

  • A bit pricey

Dermatone sunscreen products have been my favorites for many years (decades). I have used different formulations and currently prefer zinc oxide content for better screening.  Stays on well, blocks well, seems to work well on my skin and isn't loaded up with fragrances.

Small sizes are nice and light for shorter hikes, but larger sizes are available for long trips.
