I love this pack!!! It has everything I could want in a pack at a fraction of the cost.
The main compartment can fit a tent, stove, food, and clothes. Side bellow pockets can store a fuel canister or a Nalgene water bottle. The main compartment is dividable with separate zippered openings. The many compression straps help disburse the weight evenly, onto the hips.
Carrying capacity is rated at 30 lbs. I've packed it with 50 lbs, but it def starts to sag. Even still, the suspension system remains amazingly comfortable. However, I wouldn't recommend long hikes with it packed that full.
PROS:
- TONS of useful pockets
- Built-in rain cover
- Hydration system compatible
- Very comfortable harness system (Seriously comfortable).
- 2 side mesh pockets (fits Nalgenes)
CONS:
- Too small. It only packs about 50 lbs MAX(Keeps me wanting more).
- Top lid is not extendable.
- Top lid is not removable (convertible into a hip pack).
All in all, I would highly recommend this pack for weekend trips or day hikes. It has all the features of a great multi-day trip pack, but not enough space. If you and a partner are sharing gear, then it would totally suffice.
