Blue Ridge 5

rated 4 of 5 stars I finally used my Blue Ridge 5 Pack these last few days here in the Wayne National Forest located in beautiful southeast Ohio. I did an overnight backpack trek on the Archers Fork Trail. This is the pack I started out with when I first got into backpacking. I used it in the past till I started using my internal frame packs. I decided to use it on this particular hike. This pack is plain and basic. It was designed for and by the Boy Scouts and it is a Diamond Brand product. Unfortunately it is no… Full review

Free Spirit II

rated 4 of 5 stars I purchased this particuliar tent to handle my camping trips year around at various State Parks in my area. It's not a bad tent. It is very simple and basic to say the least, but extremely functional. I used the tent even for my winter camping trips at West Branch State Park. The tent performed fairly well. I added guylines to handle the the hard winter winds Ohio is known for. The tent has proven to be sturdy. Diamond Brand rated this tent as a four season tent, but I would consisder it a 31/2… Full review

Plateau 2

rated 5 of 5 stars I purchased this tent a few years back directly from Diamond Brand. Emily told me they found some Plateau Tents in the Diamond Brand warehouse and they were selling them off for $75! I jumped on this great buy! I have experience with Diamond Brand products. I've been using Diamond Brand tents for 13 years already and all I can say I'm really satisfied overall. This Plateau tent is made in Diamond Brand's North Carolina factory and it is 13 yrs. old. But of course the tent was brand new, never used,… Full review

Mountain Home 2

rated 4 of 5 stars I purchased this tent directly from Diamond Brand. It was a "factory second", meaning it had minor blemishes/deformities. When the tent finally came, after I pitched it in my backyard, some of those cosmetic blemishes became apparent. For example, the words "Diamond Brand" was somewhat "messed up" and it had a few needle holes that a little Seam Grip and patches corrected. Other than these few (but expected) problems (seeing it was a "seconds" tent) the tent was fine. I used this tent in many different… Full review

Mountain House 4

rated 4 of 5 stars I have a family of six and prefer to house them in a single tent when backpacking. This tent is the first that I have found that will actually sleep six (if one or more of them is a kid) and (1) is reasonable to backpack, (2) is four season (some might debate this but I just wind tested the tent on Huckleberry Knob (5,300' elevation), a wide open bald near Robbinsville, N.C., that has some of the highest winds in the southeast (I've seen the wind break poles on a Eureka Timberline in no time at… Full review
