DownHome

DownHome was originally founded in Aracata, California by Chuck and Denise Kennedy circa 1978, moving to Oregon in 1980.  DownHome specialized in sleeping bags is credited with making the first free-floating sleeping bag hood and many other sleeping bag innovations, such as the use of a double zipper system instead of a draft flap and optional vapor barriers.  DownHome went out of business around 1993.
