Dynafit TLT 6 Mountain CR Boot
Where to Buy
Here's what other sites are saying:
On skis, woman move just as fast as men, and often times, faster. The Dynafit Women's TLT 6 Mountain CR Ski Boot is next in line to the TLT6 Performance Boot, and the Mountain CR is made for fast ski mountaineers, winter climbers, and adventurers on demanding ski expeditions. Like the Performance boot, the Women's Mountain boot wields hardcore power yet feels as comfy as a bedroom slipper. This, the women's version, has a slimmed down fit, a low profile liner, and a stiffer Grilamid cuff, and the bomber shell, stiff tongue, and surrounding last cower to no downhill challenge. As an added bonus, abrasion-resistant materials stand up to summit-happy use and abuse (you know what that means). A Custom Ready thermo-moldable liner provides warmth and optimal anatomic comfort, because demanding terrain means time in the boot, and time in a comfy one means the difference between reveling at the peak or wishing for home in the face of all that pristine glory. And that's a shame. Equally at home on fast, techy descents and mixed alpine climbing, the TLT6 Mountain is one of the most well-rounded and complete boots in Dynafit's AT collection.
Similar to the TLT6 Performance boot, Dynafit's women's TLT6 Mountain CR Ski Boot lets you climb, walk, and ski all but the most demanding terrain. Compact Grilamid lower shells are compact for easy, agile walking while the cuff and spoiler are also crafted from Grilamid for lightweight freeski performance. You'll come to appreciate the all-day comfort of the Custom Ready Thermo-moldable liner's anatomic construction in the late hours of your tour while the double buckles provide a secure and quick closure.
- Mountain Gear
Designed for fast ski mountaineers and backcounty tourers, the Dynafit TLT6 Mountain CR randonee boots are comfortable for climbing, walking and skiing. Women-specific design features lower-profile liners and stiffer Grilamid(R) cuffs than the men's version to better accommodate female leg shapes and skiing styles. Grilamid(R) shells and cuffs provide outstanding stiffness for fast descents and excellent weight savings on long backcountry tours. Short, compact shells with rockered soles provide excellent walkability and nimbleness when you're booting up steep snow slopes or scrambling rocky ridges. Comfortable, custom thermal-formable liners are premolded on anatomic lasts for use right out of the box; three different densities of foam provide great warmth. Closed-cell foam with aluminum sheets on the bottoms retain heat and reflect it back; abrasion-resistant external fabric ensures the liners will stand up to regular use. Liners are not likely to require custom thermal-forming, but they can be molded to your feet by a qualified ski-shop employee. Cuff buckles allow quick and easy transitions between ski and walk modes; magnesium buckle catches prevent unintentional release; instep buckles can be micro adjusted. Rear spoilers slide inside the cuffs, allowing the widest and smoothest cuff rotation possible; spoilers alleviate friction between cuffs and liners. The ski/walk mechanisms can be set between 15deg and 18deg of forward lean, as well as loosened for walking. Insert the included Downhill Booster tongues on the descent for added support, then remove them on the way back up for greater comfort and agility. Power straps help close the boots securely around your legs. Mountaineering-focused outsoles provide great grip and traction on difficult terrain; toe and heel areas are made of a durable and sticky compound for climbing performance.
