Let this small light hang from your zipper by day…

Rating: rated 5 of 5 stars
Price Paid: $22

Let this small light hang from your zipper by day and have enough light to set up camp and read by night. It's small and light, but not bright. Just enough to get by. I used to bring an LED headlamp and extra batteries. Now I just bring this little gem and a backup key ring light. Very nice!

Here's what other sites are saying:

It won't replace your climbing and camping headlamp but Exped's durable and practical solar-powered Skylight will eliminate the need for hiking around with a AAA-battery-powered mini flashlight. Tie the lanyard to the back of your pack with the solar cells up to recharge your battery on the trail or place the light under a lamp. Keep in mind that the duration of your eco-friendly power supply varies depending on temperatures, but you'll have enough battery power to read three hours before dozing off. This compact design is amazingly lightweight and waterproof, making it also ideal for tying on flies at dusk on the river or checking on the kids to make sure that they're snug in their sleeping bags. Makes a great gift for the hiker who has everything, too. Solar cell power--no disposing of batteries Long-life, low drain LED bulb Splash and weatherproof design Convenient reflective lanyard for carrying Illumination range: Over 10 meters - and can still see details (8 candlepower) Easy one-button operation Average duration: About three hours of good reading light 10 year warranty Weight: .7 oz.
