Price Paid: $200

I bought a pair of the legendary Fabiano "772" heavy duty hiking boots in 1985 for $200 at the Kittery Trading post in Maine. These are HANDS DOWN the best hiking boots I've ever had. I still have them, 26 years later — in excellent condition.

These boots are indestructible. I have taken great measures to care for these "hiking hall of fame boots." They took quite a while to break in, but once they did, they custom fit like they were made for me.

I were a size 12 to 12.5, but I bought 13's because the 12's felt a bit tight. I have not hiked much in the last 15 years, I moved to Florida from New Hampshire. I will NEVER get rid of these boots. They are too legendary and too well made. I may buy a pair of Limmers some day.
