Gerber Air Ranger

rated 5 of 5 stars Can't go wrong. Perfect knife, use it every day! One-handed opening is flawless. Works in office, home, or in the field. Can't even feel it in your pocket. I have used it hiking, backpacking, fishing, and I carry it every day!! Got it on eBay for like 15 bucks and have had no complaints. For the gear snobs, I carry it over my Griptillian, personal preference of course.  Full review

Benchmade Lone Wolf Mini-Landslide

rated 5 of 5 stars One of the best folders you can get for $50. I bought this as a replacement for my ancient Swiss Army Knife, lost when moving a few years back. I wanted a decent-quality pocket knife for backpacking, mainly for emergency use, but also for cutting line if needed and for food preparation. I thought fifty bucks was a lot to spend for a pocket knife (since then I've learned you can easily pay upwards of $500-2000). But I went with this one because of good reviews of the Lone Wolf line of knives.  Lone… Full review

Gerber Outrigger, Serrated

rated 4.5 of 5 stars This knife is fantastic when you're in a pinch! The assisted opening makes it easy to take out and open with one hand, while the belt clip keeps it close by. The serrated edge really shines when it comes to quickly cutting things like rope. The assisted opening makes getting the blade out effortless! It's almost a little scary how quickly you can open this. The blade came quite sharp and so far it's stayed that way! In fact it's so sharp I managed to cut into my hand fairly deeply and was able to… Full review

Benchmade 940 Osborne

rated 3.5 of 5 stars An excellent, lightweight knife with a reasonable blade length and a unique tip design. The 940 Osborne is great for everyday carry, and is best suited for light to medium duty jobs. Due to its narrow profile and subdued grip features, it is not intended for hard use. The lack of worthwhile jimping can also lead to your hand slipping forward when thrusting the blade. I would definitely recommend picking this knife up when it goes on sale, as it can be quite expensive at normal price. As it is lightweight… Full review

Spyderco Para-Military2

rated 4 of 5 stars This is an excellent slicing knife with a very clever locking mechanism. The blade is thin, but very capable. For every day use, this knife will be more than up to the challenge. However, for hard use, you may need to search elsewhere. Blade length is good, and there is enough belly to make this knife excellent for slicing food, rope, or game with extreme ease. The tip is a bit delicate due to the flat grind and blade thickness. Blade play may occur over time, but is easily solved by tightening… Full review

Spyderco Squeak

rated 5 of 5 stars A slipjoint knife that is legal almost anywhere. The quality is excellent! I've been carrying this every day for a few months, and I love it. The color is pink, which is very people friendly, and the size is just right for my everyday tasks. Full review

Kershaw Freefall

rated 5 of 5 stars This is a great every-day-carry (EDC) knife. It is an assisted opening knife with a very smooth action. It's sturdy and robust, and still small enough to tuck away in a pocket. It came sharp out of the box, and has held an edge despite being used as an EDC. I bought this knife as an EDC and I am very happy with it on a few different levels. It's a very attractive knife. It has a modified Tanto style blade. Tanto blades are usually found on tactical knives. The Tanto style tip offers increased… Full review

Kershaw Leek

rated 4 of 5 stars This assisted opening pocket knife is great for EDC. Love this knife. Kershaw has a great customer service and a free sharpening service for life. The tip broke, but I just sanded it down and it still works great. I have had this for many years and that's my only complaint. Full review

Spyderco Tenacious

rated 5 of 5 stars Very well made, bargain priced pocket folder. I remain very impressed with the build quality of this knife. It is made in China but Spyderco taught them well. The blade is perfectly centered in the frame and there is zero play in the blade. The bronze bushings allow silky smooth open and close. All metal components are polished smooth and feel good in your hand. The liner lock is rock solid and easy to use. I am not yet convinced the alloy chosen for the blade is as good as the higher priced Spyderco… Full review
