SlingFin CrossBow 2 Footprint

rated 4.5 of 5 stars This factory footprint is functional and lightweight, helping protect the valuable bathtub floor of the CrossBow 2 tent. Simplicity of design makes this footprint easy to use, allowing one to focus on the horizon ahead, and not the gear. This footprint is best for those who want the perfect fitting accessory for all SlingFin CrossBow 2 tent configurations. SlingFin’s accessory tent footprint is simply a no-brainer! Four clips attach the the tent body, whether one is using the CrossBow 2 StormPak,… Full review

ALPS Mountaineering Tasmanian 2 Floor Saver

rated 4 of 5 stars The brown footprint (floor saver) is ripstop nylon. Has six reinforced grommets for the tent poles to slip into. Six male 3/4 inch buckles snap into the tent fly buckles. Works in snow and ice. Seam seal it when you first get it — to be sure it doesn't leak. The one that I bought did not come with taped seams. Washable. Does not extend under the Tasmanian 2 vestibules. There is a 3-person size. This one won't fit the 3-person Tasmanian 3 tent. Can be used for other things that need a ripstop waterproof… Full review

Hilleberg Kaitum 3 Footprint

rated 5 of 5 stars It doesn't seem like a footprint should get its own review, but even the Hilleberg footprints are worthy of review. They are super well fitting and have features not found on any other footprint I can think of. The Kaitum 3 footprint is like all Hilleberg products, the very best of materials, design and manufacture.  Obviously, this one is made specifically for the Kaitum 3 tent which I reviewed separately. I write to review something as seemingly mundane as a tent footprint because Hilleberg puts… Full review

MSR Hubba Hubba / NX / HP Footprint

rated 5 of 5 stars It is a perfect addition to the Hubba Hubba tent and gives it a more secure underground. It is lightweight and very small, so it fits good in a backpack. Just unfold the footprint, done! It dries very quickly. I used it for a year now on many trips and different ground, never had a problem! Quallity is very good, I can recommend it. Full review

Black Diamond Ahwahnee Ground Cloth

rated 3.5 of 5 stars A nice, light, durable ground cloth. Sadly, I am too good at leaving these hanging to dry when I head down the road on my bike. :P Not much to say about a ground cloth. This is a good one, but a cheaper one will serve as well.  Full review

Equinox Tyvek Ground Cloth

rated 5 of 5 stars My sheet of washed and edge-seamed Tyvek with strategic grommets and center flaps acts as ground cloth, rain fly, tarp, bivy, pack cover or poncho. I don't leave home without it. Cut sheet to size of required footprint plus a foot or two on door side if under a tent. Place grommets where poles and stakes would go. Cut and seam openings for head and arms. Tape (Tyvek tape) flaps over head and arm slits. Seam all edges with Tyvek Tape. (Tyvek Tape is lighter than, say, Gorilla Tape, and equally strong.)… Full review

Eureka! Floor Saver Square Medium

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Very durable ground cloth for the backpacker that is going to use their tent regularly. I am impressed with the thickness of this floor saver yet how light and unnoticeable it is in my backpack. Your eyes open, you wake up to hearing the robins and the other wildlife in the forest doing their thing. It was a cold night and you're sure your gear that you left outside and your backpack are going to be soaked from the dew.  You search for your socks in the bottom of the sleeping bag and slip them… Full review

Marmot Thor 3P Footprint

rated 2.5 of 5 stars If you can get one, the Marmot Thor 3p footprint gives you the option for the barebones setup with just the fly and ground sheet. It's definitely not as sturdy as the standard setup, but it does cut down on weight and might be suitable for a warm weather/rainy camping on the go. I got the Marmot Thor 3P footprint as a ground sheet to extend the life of my new Thor 3P.  I was also interested in the fast bare bones setup option advertised online wherever they sell the footprint. I've tried the barebones… Full review

The North Face VE 25 Footprint

rated 4 of 5 stars Great quality, durable, packs easily. The footprint matching your tent is a must. I never had one with my old VE 24 and always struggled to find the right sized tarp. Straps with multiple grommets make it easy to set up, but if the straps were color coded to match the entrance and exit sides of the tent, it would be perfect. Setting the tent in the dark, you quickly realize when the footprint is off, and grommetted strap system makes it easy to quickly adjust. Color coding would totally eliminate… Full review
