Rating: rated 5 of 5 stars
Price Paid: free

I just starting ice climbing this season and was in need for a pair of stiff boots for vertical ice work. My climbing partner Jack GAVE me a pair of Galibier Super Pro's that he had picked up a few years back.

Well, they cetainly were stiff enough...and the matching vintage crampons (the ones you fit by altering the 15 plus allen screws on the bottom..and the cross over straps). We went climbing today and I went step for step with him.

It did two things.

1) he gave me great respect for the climbers of the past who accomplished great things with equipment they used.. and

2) I was in awe of this 30 plus year old boot...still kicking ass and taking names.

I'll send some pics of it in action if I can figure it out.
