Don't spend precious time in the field searching for your four-legged hunting partner. This GPS-enabled dog-tracking system has hunting-specific features that follow your dog's every move. The high-sensitivity, waterproof Astro 320 receiver performs in any environment, even under heavy tree cover and in valleys. An info page updates your dog's position, route and speed every five seconds and has a nine-mile range. You'll see his route and how fast he's moving. The display also shows when the dog is sitting, pointing or running. It also lets you know when your dog is barking, even beyond audible range. The Astro 320 is equipped with enhanced mapping capabilities so you can purchase and download maps from Garmin that show much greater detail, allowing you to better determine if your dog is about to enter dangerous terrain. It also lets you wirelessly send info with a hunting friend so you can share the dog. The DC50 transmitter is attached to a neoprene dog collar that securely holds an antenna upright on the dog's shoulders. The upgraded steel VHF antenna improves durability and reliability. Top-mounted high-sensitivity receiver improves location performance. Rescue mode extends battery life, allowing you to catch up with even the most far-ranging dog. Unit also attaches to a standard 1" collar. Additional transmitters can be purchased to track up to 10 dogs. Beyond dog tracking, the Astro allows you to mark coveys with time of day, elevation and how many birds you flushed. It also performs as a standard GPS for all your nonhunting outdoor activities and will navigate city streets and backroads. Imported. Unit Dimensions 6.3"H x 2.4"W x 1.4"D. The Astro system includes a bright color-screen handheld GPS device and the rugged, orange polyurethane DC-40 collar. The collar accommodates most e-collar receivers eliminating the need to put two separate collars on a dog. Plus, Collar Lock creates a four-digit PIN number that helps prevent others from seeing your dogs whereabouts -a useful feature in field trials to ensure that an Astro is used only as a recovery tool when a dog in competition becomes lost. To get started, just take Astro outdoors and turn on the handheld and transmitter to acquire GPS satellite signals. Then attach the DC-40 to your dog. Now youre ready to turn him loose, no other setup required.
