Rating: rated 5 of 5 stars
Materials: nubuk grained leather
Use: light and moderate hiking
Break-in Period: none

Best boots I've ever owned by far. These fit my wide feet perfectly and from day 1 have been one of my favorite pairs of shoes. I will add that I'm a pretty big guy (225 lbs) with chronic ankle and knee issues from years of hiking, biking and soccer. The light weight of these boots are greatly appreciated by my joints.

The 2 (what I consider) minor challenges I faced

--I pulled a lace so tight that I snapped a rivet on one of the roller guides--Garmont USA repaired it for free, no questions asked.

--The 'nubuk' material was not waterproof out of the box--so I treated the heck out of them with Nikwax and now they are simply bulletproof.

Love these boots.
