Rating: rated 5 of 5 stars
Materials: Leather
Use: Rough Trail, Mountaineering
Break-in Period: 1 week
Weight: 2-3?
Price Paid: $86

I bought these boots because I needed a heavier boot for winter camping and hiking - also like the 8-in ankle support. I actually stopped at an outfitter and bought these on the way to the AT for a long weekend hike and base camp, so didn't have time for a lot of break-in.

These boots are the best value I can recall. Almost no break-in required, through mountain trails, very good grip on wet rocks and muddy trails. The boot saved my ankles at least twice that I remember, and was absolutely dry after stepping through Tye river feeder creeks. Easy to slip on and off, toe room for 2 prs of socks, and excellent construction.
