Gerber E-Z Out Rescue River Knife - Continuing its commitment to specialized, high performance knives, Gerber is offering a Rescue version of the E-Z Out. The compact design features a rounded tip on the fully serrated sheep foot blade, making it safe to use in circumstances where you don't want to risk puncture. The E-Z Out Rescue has a yellow fiberglass-reinforced thermoplastic handle with black inserts of Kraton non-slip rubber. An oval cutout on the blade aids in single hand opening, and a removable pocket clip keeps your knife close at hand.

E-Z OUT RESCUE: Large hole in blade for easy, one-hand opening. Stainless steel blade. Rounded, blunt tip for cutting seat belts and air bag without piercing skin. High visibility rescue yellow nylon handle. Removable stainless steel pocket clip. Full serration will cut rope easily. Traditional lock back. Length open: 8". Length closed: 4.5". Blade length: 3.5". Weight: 3.0 oz.

Part of the legend of the Gerber name is our ever-expanding list of special use knives. The E-Z Out Rescue is a prime example. Designed for scenarios when you need to cut without risk of poking or puncturing adjacent surfaces-such as someone's flesh-this knife can be seen clipped on the pockets of search & rescue types. The blunt tip will do no harm. Yet the wickedly serrated blade is gonna cut through stuff like crazy. It's fast, efficient, effective, and measures 3.51 from hilt to tip. The bright yellow handle is made of super-strong thermoplastic that's reinforced with fiberglass. And those black rubber inserts you see? That's a material called Kraton, which we engineered in for extra gripping performance.
