Recommended by UK walking magazine as best value for money & to my mind met this claim. No breaking in, comfortable - although had to get Euro 45 rather than my normal 44. Waterproofing held up in usual poor UK conditions, and Vibram sole gave enough stiffness/comfort/grip.
Would recommend although hard to find outside Italy (where manufactured) & UK. Found mine in UK Lake district - home of walking!
