I have worn these boots for four days every other week for a semester over glaciers and mountains. I then walked across most major cities in Europe for a month. Then I climbed for two years in Ecuador; again both on rock and glacier. The soles are stiff enough for strap-on crampons and rock scrambles. My boots are still like new.
