I tortured this boot. I wore it for two seasons of Canadian treeplanting. Most leather boots don't even make it through a full planting season. Its design was simple, and it stayed together. This boot is light and also very inexpensive. Looking to replace it, I can't find anything in Canada that seems the equivelant for under $270. I think the Elaho is discontinued. The Burma model looks identical, but finding dealers is difficult.

I would recommend this boot to anyone who wants something simple, light, and incredibly durable. It is not super-stiff, but I have used it on lots of uneven terrain carrying heavy loads without having any problems. After being treated with some wax, they shed water nicely, though were not fully waterproof.

Eventually I blew a hole in one of the soles. However, the soles are vibram, which are always high quality, and lasted relatively well.
