I purchased these Leather Waterproof Hikers about a year ago for everyday Greenhouse wear and have been truly delighted with their performance since.
They clean so well, I often swipe them with Car Detergent, or diluted bleach, spray them with a waterhose, and sit them out to dry.
-Herman- Survivors resist Water, Oil, Fat, & Alkali liquids, and even come with an impressive construction that connects the tongue with the side of the boot.
My experiences with Hermans have varied from Casual College wear on sunny days, to blistering cold Thanksgiving Pig Slaughters, and through all these adventures i'm quite sure the best is yet to come.
