I bought this tent in 1996 and it is now 2004. This tent has been VERY dependable! I have been thru some really bad storms and except for some minor leaking at the floor seams it has kept me safe and dry!!

One storm in 1998 literally had a over flow from a creek running thru our tent area, all the other tents had fallen down and were bouncing off mine and flowing around it. In 2000 I camped in a 2-day rain storm and averaged about two cups of water from seam leakage, not bad considering the amount or rain we had. During a hail and wind storm in 2003 half the tent did fall down but I just waited until the storm passed and put the two poles back in place. Over half of the tents were completly knocked down from that storm. A small 1 gallon battery operated shop vac works great for water pickup if you think you will be camping in the rain.

It is starting to fade and the zipper is giving me trouble now, BUT if anyone knows where I can get this MODEL Hillary legend weather dome tent 11 x 11 let me know I want another one. It's too bad they quit making this tent. Oh by the way the zippered ceiling vents are GREAT for controlling air flow and heat loss in colder weather in the tent !!!
