If you want to invest in a base layer that is loose cut and soft as jersey knit (because it is made from very small micron diameter fibers), wicks moisture, prevents odor and is proudly made in the U.S.A, you need the Indie Zip T.
Made of superfine, New Zealand Merino wool, it manages moisture flawlessly, regulates body temperature, both for your cold-weather and indoor workouts, and crosses over into so many activities. I live in Minnesota and I wore this on a backcountry cross-country skiing/camping trip over a long weekend. It was the only base layer I brought along.
I wore this under the Vim Hybrid jacket and with the Vim Hybrid pants for cross-country skiing, mountain biking, or running. Wear it alone to the gym or to yoga. Wear it to work on casual Fridays. And, best of all, it is the one and only shirt that you will need on a multi-day backpacking trip because it can go days without stinking.
Ibex wool products have antimicrobial properties to keep you relatively odor-free. Synthetic fabrics encourage bacterial growth on your clothing, which eventually turns into a stink that is difficult to get out. With wool, those microbes can't form the same stinky colonies.
