Jagged Edge Telluride Jacket

rated 5.0 of 5 stars

This jacket is out of a small company in Colorado that is well worth looking into. Made from Dermizax, which is a membrane designed to work like your skin, contracting when cold inside, and opening when warm. The result is that it breathes more, and is warmer than Gore-Tex. It also has a small amount of stretch to it.

All that said, the craftsmanship on this jacket, like all Jagged Edge gear is excellent. The jacket is 3 ply with taped seams and many nice features. A patch of fleece to guard your chin, extra long pit-zips, fleece lined pockets, and small external brest pockets for storing items. The only complaint I have, if any, is that the hood fits a little small over my head while I am wearing a helmet while climbing. There is an adjustment in the back, but I found this not easy to adjust on the fly.

On a scale of one to ten, I would rate this jacket a 9. There are few, if any jackets that will outperform it, if if fits you.
