Excellent support; very, very breathable, but waterproof; light weight; sturdy. The Trek is a mountaineering boot, but my pair is so lightweight and comfortable that I have chosen to wear them for backpacking and even a day hike.

I've worn my pair for two years in the mountains around Bozeman, MT, and on Mt. Adams in Washington.
