Kershaw Half Ton
OK knife for EDC or the pack, but there are much better knives out there.
Pros
- Stout blade
- Easily sharpened
- Liner lock seems secure
Cons
- Weird ergonomics
- Heavy
- Unusable wrench on belt clip
I bought this knife on a whim at my local Lowes for $20.
First the pros: It has a fairly stout, drop point, c8CR13MOV stainless steel blade that is easily sharpened. The blade doesn't have much recurve. The thumb stud allows for quick, easy deployment. The liner lock seems to lock solidly.
Conversely, the handle just didn't feel right. The knife felt very heavy in my hand, unlike some of the other knives I own. The wrench on the belt clip just adds unnecessary weight.
Bottom line, I returned the knife for a Kershaw Chill, which I like MUCH better.
