"Slim, trim and oh-so-strong, these lightweight, compact poles feature Titanal construction and DuoLock locking mechanisms. Two locks are better than one! When locked with the same torque, DouLock expanders can take up to 80% more weight. One of the strongest aluminum alloys around, the mechanical properties of Titanal are comparable to steel--with only a third of the weight! Titanal is strong, lightweight and highly resistant to abrasion and corrosion. Three-section poles feature ultra-light foam contoured grips; extended grip length allows lower hand placement suitable for short, steep ascents. "I was not impressed with these poles. In the two months I've had them one of the locks snapped in half on a leasurely hike, the poles collapse regularily, I've had trouble getting the poles to lock, and the compass broke. Not reliable poles at all."
