I bought this tent as a lightweight model to take on a backpacking trip through Scotland. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a lightweight tent for use in wet climates. It held up to 20 mph winds and pouring rains off of Loch Lomond without me or any gear inside the tent getting wet. Definitely spend the extra 10 or 20 dollars to get the footprint, it's worth it and will keep your tent floor dry. Also, LL Bean lists a packed size that is well over what you can get this tent down to with a compression sack, I think I packed it to about 6"x10" (a small REI brand compressions sack).

The only problem I've had at all with this tent is that the zippers can catch a bit, but won't if you pull slowly.. also this is not a tent for people over 6'. At 5' I found the tent spacious, but my companion at just under 6' took up almost the entire tent length.
