Bridgedale Ski Lightweight Merino Endurance Over Calf

I tried, I had hope, the socks catastrophically failed. On an evening while the powder piled higher outside my office window, I made the decision to indulge myself. I purchased two pairs of Bridgedale Light Weight Ski Socks from their Merino Performance category. These socks were even endorsed right on the package by the National Ski Patrol!  “They are bound to please,” I thought. The socks arrived from the wonderful team at Liberty Mountain where I have a pro-deal account. I paid a slightly… Full review

Darn Tough Over-the-Calf Lightweight

Darn Tough intended these lightweight, over the calf socks for snow sports as a thin sock inside tight, form fitting boots. The merino wool blended with synthetic fibers to increase elasticity and wear made them a great liner sock with excellent moisture wicking properties. Darn Tough makes a wide variety of socks and most folks seem to like the ones they try. My personal previous experience with their socks was limited to a single pair that I didn't especially care for and I didn't bother to get… Full review

Seirus Heatwave Sock

This is a very thin oversock with a Thermodynamic inner surface. To be worn over any type of sock for additional warmth. The Seirus Heatwave sock uses Thermodynamic principles to radiate your foots heat back into your under sock for extra warmth. This is a simple super thin sock with a coating on the inside that in worn over any type of sock. A size medium worked well for my size 9 feet and they slipped over my ski socks easily. The stretchy fabric allowed them to hug my feet without adding any… Full review

Custom Woolen Mills Extra Thick 100% Wool Ankle Socks

These wool socks are terrifically warm and cushion-y inside rubber boots or winter boots. They're like a favourite sweater made for your feet! Highly recommended for camping or snow sports of any kind. Farmers and construction workers love these socks. These are the best warm winter socks I have found. I give them as gifts and they are welcomed by my spouse, son, and construction workers and farmers living on the Canadian prairies, where winters routinely reach -30° and -40° (same in Celsius and… Full review

Darn Tough Over-the-Calf Lightweight

Merino wool socks keep your feet warm while controlling foot odor. The legendary lifetime guarantee can't be beaten. I received these Darn Tough socks in August and have been testing them since the beginning of this ski season. The only difference between the Darn Toughs Colorado and Honeycomb socks is the percentage of Merino wool and Nylon they have added to the 3% of Spandex they incorporated into the yarn. The Colorado has 62% Merino Wool/ 35% Nylon blend and the Honeycomb has a 56% Merino Wool/… Full review

Sockwell Ski Medium Compression Socks

Medium compression socks provide performance and quicker recovery. Merino wool and Alpaca for warmth. I have about 20 downhill ski days on these Sockwell ski socks so far and I really like them. I have tested both the Men's ski medium and the ski ultra-light socks in a medium/large size to fit my size 9 foot. Other than the thickness and a bit more Merino wool in the medium sock they are pretty much alike in performance. Both feature a seamless toe with extra padding under the ball of my foot. Heel… Full review

Darn Tough RFL Over-the-Calf Ultra-Light

Ultra-light, thin ski sock allows more contact with your boots. Merino wool keeps you warm. Guaranteed for life. There is a reason why Darn Tough socks are the number one sock for long distance hikers. You can start with their lifetime guarantee. As crazy as it sounds they will replace your socks no matter what the reason. Dog, ate it, too close to the campfire, they don't care. With a guarantee like that, you would expect the socks to be great and they are. These super thin over-the-calf socks… Full review

Alpaca Direct Winter Sport Socks with Alpacor

Great sports socks for winter and summer. Excellent at wicking, soft natural fiber alpaca, very durable. These socks are my all-time favorite socks. I have always loved alpaca socks as they are definitely a step up from wool.  What makes these socks special is the Alpacor fiber and the specific designs that have a great fit and finish. I work for the company that sells them online and they are my all-time favorite socks they have ever offered. Alpaca socks have been known for years to be the warmest… Full review

RBH Designs Bonded VaprThrm Liner Sock

RBH Designs comes to the rescue of chronically cold feet! The VaprThrm VBL sock kept my feet warm in very cold Colorado ski days, also love it that the boot liners don't get soaked by "wicking" socks.  The VBL concept works awesomely, probably even better with lots of footpowder. Warm feet again!  I found RBH on a Google search for VBL - they make lots more VBL clothing than does Stephenson Warmlite - I do love my Warmlite No-Sweat shirt, can't wait to try an RBH shirt this winter.
