L.L.Bean Carrabassett Ski Pants
Loaded with features, these ski pants double as my snowshoeing and ascent pants. They are warm enough for skiing by themselves and with a mid-weight insulating layer, they are great for alpine expedition trips.
Pros
- Leg vents
- Waterproof/great breathability
- Waist adjusters
- Gaiters with boot lugs
- Waterproof pockets
Cons
- Size choices (large too large, medium barely fits)
- No full side zips
Love these pants for multi-purpose winter sports. With a good mid-weight insulating layer, they are quite food for multi-day hiking and camping, and reasonable for summitting snow alpine peaks in the Adirondacks. The price is right for these feature packed snowpants!
Only thing I would like, would be a full side zip leg for easier use on trail with clunky mountaineering boots on.
