I love this boot. I have tried everything from Salomon to Limmer boots and I love these babies the best. They are not too heavy, but give excellent support. They have thick, roughtout silicone impregnated leather that repelled water without even needing nikwax (although I did put some on later).

I was in Alaska garnet mining and I was in water for at least 11 hours each day, for two days. I thought for sure that a boot like the M-hike, which has no waterproof/breathable membrane (like gore-tex) would leave me with a wet and clammy foot and sock. When the boot came off my socks were bone dry! Hows that for workmanship! I have used thsese boot in wet, muddy, rocky, dry abd sandy conditions and have always come out smiling. I would recommend these boots to anyone! Like I said, I love 'em!
