Overall this is an acceptable, comfortable, light boot for short hikes over well-groomed trails.
However, in my experience from hiking trails in the foothills of the Colorado Rockies, I experienced fast tread wear-out and started to experience slipping and sliding when planting my feet on slanted rocks and other inclined terrain. This boot does not have enough stiffness for hiking over rocky terrain for long periods of time.
