Very technical shoe. It is great for sticking to small face holds, but not so great on cracks. I liked these shoes, but after trying the Katanas I fell in love with the Katanas. The problem with the Vipers is that it is hard to put them on and remove them, and your feet tend to sweat a lot more on these closed shoes, and they get stinker than usual. They are great for sport climbs, but the Katanas are as good on the rock, and more comfortable.

Pull on the La Sportiva Viper Climbing Shoe and sink your teeth into a wicked gym session or a go at your overhanging project. This slip-on is built on a modified Katana last with a slightly downturned toe for grabbing power. The thin sole adds total sensitivity, and the Hidden Heel Shock Absorber takes the sting out of gym and bouldering falls. *The Viper may stretch up to one whole size after repeated wear, so size accordingly.

With the tension of a coiled snake ready to spring, the La Sportiva Viper is fitted out with a tensioned slingshot rand that keeps power at the slightly down-turned toe. Slip it on, fasten the double elastic closure, and start bouldering - if you should take a fall, the Hidden Heel Shock Absorber System will protect your foot during an impact landing.
