I need a hiking shoe for a six month stint in Israel. I read several reviews and chose this model. I couldn't have been more pleased when the rubber met the trail. I should have an over-the-heel boot for the roughness of the terrain I hike here, but I find the Jannu Los very stable. They are also the most comfortable hiking shoes I've ever had! Eight hours on the trail means nothing to my feet, even with hammer-toe. They breathe extremely well and are very tough. I heartily recommend them!

The Lowa Men's Jannu Lo Hiking Shoes won Outside Magazine's 2006 Gear of the Year Award, and we can see why. These lightweight hikers feature Lowa's proprietary SPS system, which prevents over-pronation and supination while you walk. This reduces fatigue, helps your knees and legs, and makes shouldering a heavy pack a bit more bearable. Pair this system with a close-to-foot fit and supportive EVA midsole, and you get an incredibly stable hiking shoe that's comfortable for the long haul. The Jannu Lo Hiking Shoe's split leather and Cordura upper gives you the durability to take on burly trails, and its low-cut Vibram Pinto sole delivers backpacking stability and traction on all types of terrain.
