photo: Lowe Alpine Echo 20 daypack (under 35l)

Nice pack by Lowe Alpine. 20L or 1,200 in2, plenty for most day hikes. Hip belt is there to keep the pack in place, NOT to absorb weight. Chest strap adjusts nicely. The place for a water bladder has no where to hook the bladder to...it just kind of flops around in a segregated pocket. No place to put water bottles externally, or to strap gear or trekking poles to.

Bottom line, if you're looking for a technical pack, well, this isn't a tech pack so look elsewhere. If you want a nice 20L pack, well well made (not a typo, it's a well put together pack) to throw a jacket, rain gear, the essentials, a couple nalgenes and lunch...then this is your bag, if you can find it!
