This parka is made from organic canvas and treated with our special beeswax/pine resin formula. This parka excels at shedding rain and wind while still providing breathability. The ultimate performance and comfort as well as environmentally-friendly all in one package.

This parka has you covered and can take a beating so you don’t have to. Weighs about two pounds. Use it as a shell underneath your other layers.

We are offering three sizes: Small, Medium, and Large. Small generally fits people up to 5″ 6″, Medium Runs 5′ 7″ – 6′ tall, and the Large is for large chested people over six feet tall.

These are accurate sizings for wearing thicker layers underneath. If not planning to wear thick layers, you can get a size smaller.

Wears nicely under a backpack. Super durable, won't tear or scratch in brambles, very fire resistant, sparks fly right off. Only slightly heavier than a Goretex like jacket.

Background

I have used this day hiking and backpacking in different weather extremes from -20 wind chill to summer rainstorms. It excels in all conditions. Keeps the rain out well without overheating. Feels comfortable to the touch. Doesn't make noise while walking like the loud swish swish of synthetic.

There is much less overheating which happens so easily while hiking with a synthetic parka, even if they claim it is "breathable". The breathability of this parka goes beyond anything synthetic. Replaces the traditional plastic parka we are all used to.
