Mammut Slope Jacket

rated 4.0 of 5 stars
photo: Mammut Slope Jacket down insulated jacket

This is a breathable, 650 down, water-resistant extra long jacket with lots of pockets including a clever inside-out pocket for your iPhone and wires.

Pros

  • Well made,
  • Beathable and can get wet with many pockets

Cons

  • Looks a bit bulky and it's hard to find.
  • Looks like Mammut might be closing out the item.
  • Also, some of the colors are terrible.

This is a very comfortable jacket, long enough to have a sport coat underneath. It is breathable but with 650 down, very warm. I haven't used it in very cold and windy conditions so the jury is still out on that one. But it is a cozy jacket with many good features.

This model has a hood that can be adjusted with ties. The arms are sealed at the sleeve to keep out wind and water. It is water resistant. The zipper also is water resistant. It will soak up sweat so it's breathable.

The inside has two layers, an outside water resistant layer and the down that's inside.

You can easily move around in it.

The salesman said it was hand stitched, but not sure about that.

I just got it and don't have enough experience to address how it will fare in really frigid weather with stiff storms.  But I will get the experience.
