"The Supersafe 10.2mm rope was the result of Mammut's goal to reduce climbing accidents by making the safest rope in the world. Thanks to its Teflon-coated fibers, which reduce internal friction, the Supersafe was one of the first ropes to ever pass the UIAA Sharp Edge Resistance test. Most standard ropes part like dental floss when they are subjected to this extreme test. The ones that do pass are usually so stiff that they handle like tugboat cables. The Supersafe passed with flying colors and retains excellent handling qualities for fast clips and easy belaying. It's also Superdry coated, so it will not loose strength from absorbing water. Two of the most common climbing accidents occur when rappelling or lowering off the end of a rope. To prevent this, you can get the Supersafe with an optional Triodess pattern that changes 5 meters from each end so you'll know you're about out of rope before it's too late."

"This is one tough rope! Its light weight and superb handling make it the right rope for nearly everything. Sharp-edge certified ropes pass an additional drop test that runs the rope over a 0.75mm radius edge; Supersafe's unique coating passed the test. Coating Finish process uses Teflon® to treat individual fibers resulting in reduced abrasion, better load distribution and durability. Superdry sheath and core is treated to discourage water absorption while resisting dirt and abrasion. Duraflex® heat-treatment process on the finished rope helps maintain smooth handling characteristics over time. 10.2mm diameter shaves overall weight and improves handling characteristic without seriously impacting the overall performance of the rope. "This rope gets five stars for a flawless performance. I bought this at the beginning of the year and to date there are zero complaints with it. Good flexibility for a 10. 2mm rope. No major falls as of yet on it(10 footer max) so I can't comment on stretch or anything like that, but the condition and construction seems top-notch."
