HiFlux LED provides a bright white spot beam that lights up objects 110m away on high; enter boost mode to throw a 200-lumen beam 125m when you're route finding at night. 2 standard LEDs (1 on each side of the HiFlux LED) provide soft floodlight that's ideal for tasks close at hand. Select from 5 brightness levels (HiFlux high, HiFlux boost, standard LED low, standard LED high, dual output) to ensure you have the right amount of light for every activity. Dual output setting uses both the floodlight and spotlight for a good combination of long-range and peripheral illumination. Mammut X-Shot headlamp operates on 3 AA batteries (included); batteries provide up to 200 hrs. of use on low and 15 hrs. on high. Should you find yourself suddenly low on battery power or in a desperate situation, switch the light in to Alpine Emergency Signal mode. Alpine Emergency Signal mode blinks the light 6 times per min. so you can leave the light on in emergency situation without completely running the batteries down. Blinking rear red taillight located on the battery pack provides visibility from behind-great for group climbing trips and nighttime bike rides. Regulated output ensures consistent lighting levels even as battery power is reduced. Threaded tripod socket on the side lets you use the headlamp as a fixed spotlight for nighttime boulder sessions and photo shoots. Double-click switch lock prevents the light from accidentally turning on while it's in your backpack.
