Wow! Home away from home. Solid shelter. Plenty of room for 2 w/gear inside. Two doors/vestibules. Smaller door/vestibule adequate for entry/exit - larger front door/vestibule has zipper on each side for easy access to store plastic boots/crampons, et., or cook in a wind reduced environment. AWESOME venting options - no-see-um ceiling vent zips open to zippered exterior ceiling (of tent body)for access to rain fly vent. Two zippers on the tent body and one on the rainfly itself (covered by a flap).

Not for the go-light soloist, but wasn't meant for that application. Save precious ounces by equalizing guy-lines, minimizing stakes/deadmen/pickets. Everything bar-tacked, back-tacked, etc.,

Final - It's BOMB-PROOF !! You can spend more and/or carry lighter, but there is no better quality and design. No need to carry heavier, durability is not an issue with Marmot quality. Spend the xxtra $$ for the Citadel ground cover.

A nice design point - all poles are the same length except the vestibule hoop.

Design: 4 season expedition dome
Sleeps: 3
Ease of Setup: Very easy - nicer w/2 people. Nice clip/sleeve combo
Weight: 10lbs 8oz
Price Paid: $579

* 5 Easton T9 tempered aluminum poles, all the same length except for vestibule pole. Two vestbules - front is hooped.

* 62 sq. feet floor space plus two 14 sq. ft. vestibules.

* Gear loft and fitted nylon groundsheet w. attachments avaiable.

* This is a BIG tent and easily hold three people with gear.

* Not for weak solo hikers! Best for two to share the load.

* Serious kit. Holds up in difficult weather. Internal bracing system.

* Excellent ventilation with two door and zip ceiling panels.

* LOTS of pockets and storage (tent sack becomes a ceiling pocket)

* Ripstop nylon material. Includes full repair kit with pole splint.

Personally, I do a lot of solo hiking and can't justify the extra weight. I'm currently considering selling or upgrading.

Word to the wise: Consider your needs carefully. This is a great tent, but doesn't match my particular needs.
