Summary
The best one in my 31 years of hiking. Dry when rain, comfortable for my size (6'-2") and extra room for my pack.
Pros
- The fly kept the rest of the tent always dry.
- I can put it together in three minutes.
- Very light for what you get.
Cons
- it needs larger stakes.
- Too bad it was discontinued.
I have used this tent for the last 6 years on my trips hiking the AT in the south and the north, through all different seasons and weather conditions. I was surprised by how well this particular design upheld against strong wind and rain.
I have never had any problem with condensation, drafts, or ventilation. It kept me cool in the summertime and warm in the winter, always providing enough space for me and my sleeping gear. The fly stakes could be a little longer, and the tent should come with a footprint.
Other than that, my only regret is that I did not purchase a second one before they were discontinued.
