I bought this as a family tent for my wife and I and my young son. It is very roomy with nearly vertical walls. I endured a severe thunderstorm last week and stayed completely dry. I was on a slight hill so I had so run off under the tent but the rain did not seep through. (my fault). It is on the heavy side for back packing. It is very easy to set up. There are velcro straps to secure the tent to the poles for added stability and positioning of the fly. Overall I am very pleased with this tent.
