Marmot Halo 4P

I love this tent... The best part is the color, onrange is such a nice color to wake up too... It feels like the sun is shining even if it's crappy out. The double entrance is a gereat bonus. Size and weight is good for base camp tenting or back country. Only downfall is its height, can't stand up to get changed, but I would still recommend this tent.

Easy to setup. Holds up to anything u throw at it.. stays dry... vents awesome (never condensates). Lots of room. The extra pockets and storage are a nice bonus. Packs easy, tho a little bulky for hiking or portaging with.

Did i mention I love the color! Great tent, it will be with me for years.

Wow what a great tent. I have spent my past camping adventures in some really questionable tents. Finally I decided to buy something "better".

Vertical walls which give this tent tons of room. When you look at tents they say buy a 4 man tent if you have 3 people and gear. This tent can sleep 4 with your gear also. Well built, great quality of construction, waterproof and easy to set up (please practice a couple of times before you head out).

Have used it for husband, wife and two teens as well as two adult men and two teens. Weight is reasonable considering the size. We canoe camp so it is less of an issue but you could split it up to share the weight if you backpack with two or three people.

Design: three-season freestanding
Sleeps: 4
Ease of Setup: Easy to set up
Weight: 13 lbs

I bought this as a family tent for my wife and I and my young son. It is very roomy with nearly vertical walls. I endured a severe thunderstorm last week and stayed completely dry. I was on a slight hill so I had so run off under the tent but the rain did not seep through. (my fault). It is on the heavy side for back packing. It is very easy to set up. There are velcro straps to secure the tent to the poles for added stability and positioning of the fly. Overall I am very pleased with this tent.

Sleeps: 3

I have the first-year's edition which I believe has a slightly different, circumferential "halo" than that pictured here. Overall a nice, seemingly well-designed tent, with one major flaw, at least in my opinion. With the "old(?)" halo design, four huge rain "troughs" are created between the peak of the tent and the halo, as the fly gets wet. This cannot be remedied, no matter how tightly the fly is pegged out. Although these rain-catchers have never leaked directly into the interior, we have experienced significant sagging and distortion of the tent as they accumulate water.

Design: three-season freestanding dome
Sleeps: 4
Ease of Setup: Very easy

Excellent tent, keeps you dry, that's for sure. Its been in couple of downpours and nothings ever gotten wet. Nice size, Lots of nice stash pockets.

We use it as a 2 person for car camping but another child or two would fit fine. Great room and suprizingly nice colour! Strong stable design, one person can set up.

The only thing I didn't like was when the fly is on there is no window too peek out of in the middle of the night!

Design: e.g. "three-season freestanding dome")
Sleeps: 4
Ease of Setup: easy
Weight: ? not light
