Marmot Odyssey

rated 3.0 of 5 stars

The Odyssey has been discontinued. If you're looking for something new, check out the best three-season tents for 2024.

This tent seems like a pretty sturdy design. It looks extremely cool because of the poled vestibule. Interior is spacious with two huge pockets. I did notice a couple of issues. The fly will require extensive guying to prevent it from touching the inner wall of the tent and it is not quite as full coverage as I would like. Also you really need to stoop or crawl out of the vestibule because it's so tunnel-like.

On the plus side this vestibule has ample room for gear storage or cooking in foul weather. The fly colors make interior cheerful. The door on the end means you don't have to crawl over your partner to get out, but it won't be as easy as having two doors. I haven't expereienced any heavy rain in it yet, so can't comment on rain-worthiness.
