Rating: rated 4 of 5 stars

Price Paid: $350

Summary

If you have a Chicago winter this jacket will NOT do. If you have a Chicago summer this jacket WILL do perfectly.

Pros

  • Summer clothing
  • Wear everyday
  • Painting inside/outside
  • Rain
  • Liner jacket

Cons

  • Not a winter jacket

It's best to wear both jackets separately rather than having the liner zipped in because it blocks warmth/protection. Perfect to wear while painting inside/outside a house during summer and perfect on an 80 degree summer night.

My daughter did wear this when going skiing in March of 2012 (this year) and came back soaking wet in it.  Both the liner jacket and outer insulated jacket were soaked like they just came out of a washing machine. It took 3 dryer cycles on high heat for 2 cycles to dry it...and that's with the liner jacket zipped out of the insulated jacket so it could dry alone.

It's good to wear while mowing the lawn because it provides wonderful protection from the hot sun too.
