Marmot Tamarack Jacket
Price Paid: ~ $260
After testing hundreds of shell jackets I fell for this one, lots of technique and smart solutions for a very good price. I live in Sweden and during this time of year we have rain every day, but since I got my Tamarack Jacket I'm never wet anymore. Very adjustable and the hand-warming pockets are worth gold. As well as the powder skirt.
The only thing that isn't rageous is that the sight to the sides is reduced a lot when using the hood. Here in Sweden it was more expensive than in the U.S but still about $100 cheaper than many other jackets.
Finally advise, you don't have it? Get it.
